Jennifer Love Hewitt Not Engaged!

We told you these two would move fast! Rumor has it Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy are now engaged. Apparently Jamie proposed to her during his show at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, CA last night!

Sources tell Page Six that Jamie was on stage in the middle of a bit, when someone in the crowd shouted , “Marry her!” referring to Jennifer.

Jennifer was already on stage with Jamie, since he’d pulled her up so she could perform some of her songs.

And apparently that’s all it took, since Jamie got down on one knee and asked Jennifer to marry him! He didn’t have a ring on him, but eyewitnesses say Jennifer was glowing and said yes. “It was a standing ovation.”

Getting engaged at a stand-up comedy show?! Not exactly our idea of romantic! But maybe it’s special for Jamie and Jennifer, since it is his line of work. Hopefully, that part of Jamie’s bit wasn’t just a big joke! He’d better get crackin on a ring now!

UPDATE: Apparently this so called proposal never really happened. "There's no truth to the report," says Hewitt's rep. Kennedy's rep echoes: "There's no truth to this report whatsoever."
