Jennifer Lopez Hints At Leaving 'American Idol'

Say it ain’t so! Jennifer Lopez made it pretty clear this morning on NBC’s "Today" show that she was pretty much over “American Idol.”

“I think it’s time for me to go,” J.Lo mentioned in the interview.

When "Today" show host Natalie Morales asked if she was planning on returning to Season 12 of the show, J.Lo responded, “It’s a huge decision, but I have to say there are so many things I do that I put on hold for that. It’s a heartbreaking decision if I have to go.”

Like what? What is she putting “on hold” for Idol? Hanging out with Casper Smart? Because that can’t be very important.

Apparently, those other career endeavors J.Lo needs to pursue include promoting Ice Age 3: Continental Drift because she is in that movie. Also, Jennifer Lopez is touring with Enrique Iglesias.

Lopez continues, basically confirming her own fears that she’s leaving the show.

“Little by little I’m making up my mind. I love everybody, I love the guys, but I am thinking it’s time for me to go and do other things I love to do like films and journeys.”

Jennifer concludes, “But I’m torn – it’s a tough decision.”

For now, this rumor is up in the air, but leaning heavily towards “J.Lo leaving ‘American Idol.’”

OMG this is why those “Adam Lambert joining ‘Idol’” stories started swirling two days ago.

There are also rumors that Randy Jackson will be leaving “Idol” because he’s part of “old Idol” - whatever that means.
