The former couple, aware of the buzz and public interest surrounding their divorce want to make one thing perfectly clear...when it comes to their kids, they're still a team.
In a statement to People magazine, Lopez's family law attorney Ron Anteau says, "The parties are working together to reach a friendly resolution that's in the best interest of their children."
Anthony, 43, filed for divorce from the "American Idol" judge on April 9 in Los Angeles Superior Court citing "irreconcilable differences" and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two children, 4-year-old twins Emme and Max.
He also asked the judge to deny awarding the songstress any spousal support which is interesting given recent headlines claiming Anthony is seeking to find out whether Lopez has been hiding money in off-shore accounts.
However, a source connected to Anthony tells the magazine that report is "ridiculous" and adds, "He's not seeking financial support from her in this divorce. Never has, never will. This is about trying to figure out how best for two very busy parents to share their children."
Sadly, this will be the third divorce for Lopez and the second for Anthony. The couple were married in 2004.
