Jennifer Lopez American Idol Contract Almost a Done Deal

We can’t believe American Idol has been dragging this out this long. We’re still waiting to hear who the third and final judge for next season will be.

But sources tell TMZ that Jennifer Lopez is still the frontrunner. Despite the rumors she’s been acting like a diva, insiders say she’s this close to signing.

"It's been typical negotiating,” says a source close to the show. Furthermore, the word on the street is that J.Lo will probably sign papers as early as next week.

Idol sources say producers say Jennifer is the key to re-energizing the show.

We’ll believe it when we see it. It’s make it or break it time for Idol! If this year is a flop, we could easily see the network canning the show altogether.
