After Jennifer Lawrence called out the E! show “Fashion Police” for “showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values,” Joan Rivers, queen of the “Fashion Police” couch, made her own comeback remarks.
On Twitter, Joan wrote:
“WAIT! It just dawned on me why Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way up to the stage to get her Oscar. She tripped over her own arrogance.”
“It’s funny how Jennifer Lawrence loved @E_FashionPolice during Awards Season when we were complimenting her every single week. But now that she has a movie to promote, suddenly we’re picking on all those poor, helpless actors.”
Honestly, both ladies might have a point here. Let's try to see both sides: “Fashion Police” does partially thrive on its snippy cut downs of people in bad clothing, but it’s not a show that exists to educate our youth in the first place. As for Joan, you can’t really have a show that thrives on criticism and suddenly be offended when someone sees through the machinery and criticizes your work. Readers, what do you think?
