Your imaginary BFF Jennifer Lawrence just scored herself a cover on Vogue, and it’s not just any Vogue, mind you...
It’s the SEPTEMBER issue of Vogue, which any friends in fashion will tell you is the only reason for having Septembers every year whatsoever. Like, if Anna Wintour decided she was over packaging this 900+ page Bible, then our calendars would officially read “…July, August, October, November…” because the entire month would just be rendered useless.
That said, Jennifer stuns on the cover, but it’s in the accompanying article where she really shines. Beauty, brains, and personality fill out this centerfold of J.Law lounging around in next season’s tweeds for photographer Mario Testino, where she also lets fans in on her relationship with Nicholas Hoult.
The two met on the set of X-Men: First Class, dated for a couple years, then broke up, but remained friends. Now shooting the blockbuster’s sequel together up in the Canadian north over the summer, the two appear to have reconciled and Jennifer is able to talk about Nicholas with a sense of humor.
“I wake up earlier in the morning when I have new sponges,” Jennifer stated in the issue. “That counter doesn’t even see it coming. [Nicholas] would never wring them out. We were in the kitchen once, and I picked up the sponge, and it was soapy and wet, and I was like, ‘See? These are the kinds of things that make me think we are never going to work.”
