Jennifer Lawrence Fires Back at Critics: 'I'm Not Fat!'

Some hardcore Hunger Games fans, and also some bitter movie critics, have decided that Jennifer Lawrence was “too chubby” for the lead role of Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games.”

As someone who has read the first 15 pages of The Hunger Games, so obviously an expert, Katniss is supposed to be starving all the time, because her “district” is super poor and has to kill squirrels to eat.

Uh, sorry Lindsay Lohan’s sister wasn’t available for the role. Sorry all of Paris Fashion Week models are vacationing in Ibiza. Sorry Christian Bale wasn’t available to lose 60 pounds for the role of Katniss Everdeen.

Anyways, some moronic film critic said Lawrence had “lingering baby fat” and another critic called her a “big-boned lady.”

A source told the Chicago Sun Times that says Jennifer told her, “This is hilarious. First, people say how many actresses in Hollywood look anorexic, and now they are criticizing me for looking normal.”

Yeah Hollywood, make up your mind. Is “no fatties” still a thing or are we still making jokes about Madonna’s arms?

“Thin body images are too often adopted by young girls and women thanks to what they are constantly being shown as being attractive,” says Lawrence.

It’s interesting how no-one criticized Liam Hemsworth for being a total beef cake in the film. If the whole town is starving then shouldn’t these movie critics criticize Mr. Hemsworth for being hot and totally bulked up? I know you don’t get shoulders like that from eating oatmeal for every meal.
