Hudson will make her first public appearance since her family tragedy on February 6 to perform at the MusiCares person of the year gala.
She will join Tim McGraw, Josh Groban, Foo Fighters, and Coldplay on stage and sing a few Neil Diamond songs. The gala will be held two days before the Grammy Awards, which is set to air on Feb. 8 at L.A.'s Staples Center.
Earlier this month Hudson said: "It's been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing." She added, "I am extremely honored and humbled by the nominations."
And talk about being nominated! She is up for best R&B album for her self-titled album, best female R&B vocal performance, best R&B song for Spotlight and best R&B performance by a duo or group for her song with American Idol champ Fantasia Barrino, I'm His Only Woman.
Can't wait for her triumphant return!
