Jennifer Hudson is 140 Pounds?

Jennifer Hudson has reportedly lost 30 pounds since her time on 'American Idol', which was in 2004. According to the newest issue of In Touch, Hudson claims that she shed all the weight by working out and eating smaller portions.

The Oscar winner claims to be 140 pounds right now, but I don’t know if I buy that story considering the fact that she is 5’9. 140 pounds and at that height is a little too extreme considering the fact that she is a big-boned girl.

I believe the fact that she has lost 30 pounds but it really doesn’t look like she's 140, even in person. Whatever the case is, she is definitely looking great these days!

there is no way she weighs 140 pounds. didn't she say she was a size 12-14 recently? I'm 5'9 and weigh 165 pounds and i'm a size six. There's no way.

There is no fucking way that this cow is 140 pounds! Her trainer might be lying to her to make her feel skinny. she has lost 30 pounds no doubt, but not 140 she was probably 240 before. she looks like she is 165 considering the fact that she is 5'9

I agree, she's not 140 pounds. But she has lost weight and generally is very well put together. Although she has turned me off with all her comments recently.

So what if she isn't 140 lbs. She looks amazing and she definitely doens't look that these anorexic celebs out here who is only 85 lbs because all they do is get drunk and get high all day. You guys are something else! You all would rather see a nasty stick walking around representing a false image to our impressible youth than have someone who represents the true weight of American women whose average size is a size 14. As for some of you being turned off by her comments sure enough was fighting tooth and nails over defending Britney who obviously doesn't deserve any type of defense. People this is hollywood, stars are divas whether they show it all the time or not.

No way. I am of similar body type, without the boobs, size 14, 5'-10" and weigh 175 lbs. Take off 5 lbs for an inch and add 5 lbs for the boobs. She is about 175 lbs... That is my estimation.

I can't stand this lying idiot. She does not represent anything that we should be aspiring too. She is overweight and therefore endangering her health just as much as so called 'twigs'. Twinsy she does no look amazing, she looks like heart disease to me! Nobody should be looking up to her or thinking her a good representation. She is not healthy, and is just as bad a representative as nicole or any of the other skinny girls out there. I'd much rather look like nicole or MK than Jennifer - anyday!

Yeah, and Kiristy Ally is only 145 pounds! No way in hell. She has lost weight no doubt but she looks like she is more 170-180 pounds than 140.

Sel, I have to disagree with you on comment. Just because she has weight to her doesn't mean she is unhealthy and heart attack waiting to happen. Skinny as well as overweight can both be unhealthy or as healthy as the next. Health ties in with weight, that is a given but don't just assume just because someone may not be a size 5 is unhealthy. It is people who talks like you who scares me the most. When young girls hear these words, the first thing they do is start dieting to look like the twigs you want to represent as being the healthy look. And before you all take this out of content, for one we didn't here her say she was 140 lbs-and I would like to read/hear this interview in which she says these words herself before I label her as a liar.

this has nothing to do with wanting her to be a 'skinny twig', its the fact that she's lying about her weight to make herself seem smaller than she actually is. everyone preaches good body image and to be happy with yourself, then jennifer hudson goes and tells the media she's 140 lbs when shes obviously NOT, clearly implying its more attractive to be smaller. look at those pictures side by side, bitch was definitely over 200 lbs in the first pic.

The main point I am trying to make here is 1) All of this is coming from ONE tabloid Magazine and no one else is saying she said she weighs 140 lbs and 2) this is freakin Hollywood-the place where Ferge lies to say she pissed on herself because there wasn't time to go to the bathroom; Britney goes to the hospital for a toothache and teeth whiteing and she never had a drug/alcohol problem, Paris Hilton only slept with 2/3 men in her life (her words not mine)and rolls her own cigs, Nicole Richie doesn't have an eating disorder, Lindsey Lohan isn't a hoe who sleeps with everyone and never was an alcoholic, the list can go on and on-Everyone lies in hollywood-get over it.

I don't think we are all supposed to look a like. Some girls look good with a bit of meat on them, and some girls look good being a bit on the thin side. The main thing is, is to be healthy and happy which is not an easy thing sometimes. I think the thing I admire the most about people is confidence and loving themselves. There are chubby girls that are way healthier then the thin girls and vice versa. Just be happy and take care of yourself!

um, alot of you are liars. i'm big boned and 5'9" and i weigh 160 and am a size 12-13 and i don't look nearly as large as her. but those of you claiming to be near my height and wieght yet wearing sizes 6-10 need to check thier labels again...

When I weigh 140, I wear a size 8 and look like a Barbie, lol... same thing with Kirstie Alley. She claims to have lost 75lbs and is now 140 lbs. She is full of it and totally discredits the Jenny Craig ads she does.

Its not a matter of whether they look good as they are, its the fact that they are still not comfortable enough with themselves that they have to lie about their weight. They would be better role models if they were honest.

No way she's 140. That would mean that she's 15 lbs away from being considered medically "underweight" for her height. She still looks overweight, and is probably more like 175, which puts her in the "overweight" category.

We don't know that Jennifer actually said that....this is a gossip website. Hello, how much truth is in gossip...Why would she say that she weighs 140 when it is clearly obvious that she does not. I have nevere heard her put a # to her weight in any of her interviews and she always embraces being a full-figured woman. I don't think that J-Hud lied, I think the writer of that comment lied!

I love Jennifer Hudson! But there's NO WAY she's 140 pounds. I am 140 pounds and about her height and very slender. It must have been a typo. But she still looks amazing! I respect the beauty of ALL sizes. Go Jennifer!

I think it's great to finally see a plus-size woman grace the cover of Vogue and have all of these amazing opportunities. But to lie about your weight? Whether or not she likes it, Jennifer Hudson is like a role model to many plus-sized women. To lie about her weight just creates more pressure on those who are full-figured. It's unfortunate.

They always say that the camera adds 10 pounds... maybe in Jennifer's case it's 40. So Shaq is 4'11'' and 110lbs., Prince is 6'7" and 250 lbs., and M.K. Olsen is 6'0" and 365 lbs.. Somebody switched mirrors and put that "Funhouse Mirror in Jenny's dressing room! Seriously, I do not believe that she said this... give the girl a break and a piece of Melba Toast!!

why, why would she lie?? It so diminishes the real accomplishment that she's made in losing all that weight! come on. that said, she can't be 5'9" and 140. Those are my stats and I'm 36-26-38 and my stomach is flat (because I bust my ass for it, not naturally flat).

Some of the people posting on this site must not be plus size becase they would know your dress size can really depend on where you shop. I am 5'9" and have a large frame and I weight much more tha JHud's reported 140 lbs. When I shop at a standard dept. store, such as JC Penny, my dress size can be anything between a 20-22 (and the clothing doesn't fit my body right), but if I shop at a plus size store, such as Ashley Stewarts I can get in some size 16 tops, but an 18 size suit fits perfectly. So, if Jennifer is shopping in the correct places for her frame she could indeed wear a size 10, even if she was 190lbs (which I seriously doudt that she is). She is a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice, her size means nothing.

Why do you guys care so much? I'm utterly confused as to why any of this matters. You get one alternative image to the looks game and people lose their minds over small details. Just be happy she exists -- there should be more Jennifer Hudsons out there, given her talent as well as the fact that she represents American bodies much more than most celebrities do. Or is it that Americans really don't want to look at themselves all that much...? That's our problem, not Jennifer's.

Did anyone who made comments on this page ACTUALLY physically HEAR Jennifer Hudson say she was 140 lbs? As well as these so called "comments" she has said. I mean do you people believe everything you hear? That in itself is very pathetic. That's the problem with the world today. People believe too much of what they hear like a bunch of herded sheep. Wow, I am reading all your comments - I never heard Jennifer actually say she is 140 pounds either, but she is beautiful anyway - looks overweight still, but she is proportioned a lot nicer than me. I am 5' 3" and weight 145 and wear size 10 jeans. I look chunky and have short legs, thick thighs and have a pouch. I lost over 40 pounds, but would love to lose at least another 20 - I'm getting there. I am so confused with how I look to others, but when I see Jennifer and hear 140 - NO WAY. That comment must have come from someone else - it's obvious she is heavier than that.

Well I'm 160 and 5'9 I look thinner then her but u now muscle ways more on certain people. Also Jaime we can be around the same height and weight but look i wear size 7 its just some pple gain weight more in other areas and some gurls have wider hips so they need bigger size and some gurls like to pull their pants up to their waist. Some have bigger butts too. Sizes vary.

I'm 5'9" and 165, and I'll shout it from the rooftops! There is no way that she weighs 140 lbs. If she did, she would be skin and bone, trust me. Women lie about their weight so much, that it causes other women to compare themselves to a lie. If we were all honest about how much we really weigh, other women would look at themselves and think "oh... I must not look as bad as I thought". The Star magazine always estimates the weight of the celebrities, saying Uma Thurman is 6'0 and 105 lbs. If that was true, she would be in the f-ing hospital!!! Let's start a revolution, and admit how much we REALLY weigh! At 140, 5'9"... she be a size 6 (or smaller). She's probably a 12/14.

Hello, this is Vanessa Paradise. I have never met Jennifer Hudson, but I would assume that she is about 170 lbs. She is not that overweight, and as small as I am (I wear a size 3) I think that she is very attractive and normal sized for the women of today. I hope that people do not look at the women in Hollywood as normal, because most of them are very underweight. Okay...different people carry weight differently. I am 5'6", 175 and I wear a straight size 10. Jennifer Hudson may possibly be 140, but her body composition is different. There is no such thing as big boned. That is a myth. I have toned muscles and good muscle mass, so my body is tight, not flabby. Go figure. And anyway---who cares if she weighs 400 pounds? What she eats doesn't make me sh*t!!! Can't we all just get along??? I don't think every celeb woman needs to reveal her weight in order the make the rest of us feel better about our bodies or have something to strive for. We should be happy enough simply being ourselves. Let's get it together people.
