Just a few months after Jennifer Hudson made headlines for the tragedy that took her mother, brother, and nephew's life, she made a triumphant return singing the National Anthem during Sunday's Superbowl XLIII in Tampa.

Jennifer Hudson's estranged brother-in-law William Balfour pleaded "Not Guilty" to first-degree murder and home invasion on Tuesday at Cook County Criminal Court in Chicago.

Balfour is accused of murdering three members of Jennifer Hudson's family in Chicago last October. Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, were found shot to death in the family's Chicago home on Oct. 24.

The body of her seven year- old nephew Julian King was found three days later.
