Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth publicly announced their split earlier this week, saying, "we remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together."
Of course, speculation began soon after, and reports surfaced that Peter was having an affair with a 20 year-old Canadian woman while he was filming the last film in the Twilight series in Vancouver.
Now, the couple is addressing those reports, shooting them down entirely.
"There are rumors out there which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family," Facinelli and Garth told Us Weekly in a statement. "We just want to make it very clear, there are no third parties involved."
Peter and Jennie met in 1996 while filming the movie An Unfinished Affair, and then they tied the knot on January 20, 2001. But on Tuesday, they announced their split. The two have three daughters: fourteen year-old Luca, nine year-old Lola, and five year-old Fiona.
"We both share the same deep love and devotion to our children," they said in a statement.
After the split, Facinelli was spotted riding his motorcycle in Los Angeles on Wednesday. His wedding ring was removed.
Some don't think the split was surprising.
Last July, rumors surfaced that there was trouble when the two were reportedly living separately. Around that time, Facinelli walked the red carpet for Breaking Dawn. His red carpet date was his daughter, Luca.
“He said he just wanted to celebrate this time with his daughter,” E! News correspondent Jason Kennedy told ABCNews.com. “But at the time, there was speculation that there was trouble in paradise. And you didn’t see them out in public much after that.”
