After 11 years of marriage, which is practically a lifetime in Hollywood, Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli have called it quits.
The couple released a joint statement:
“While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time."
This is just like when Kelly and Dylan broke up. Except that this is, well, you know, real life.
Neither Garth nor Facinelli gave any hints of what might have gone wrong in the marriage.
One source told site ScallywagandVagabond: “Like a lot of couples do, they simply grew apart.”
But probably the most scandalous thing of all…Jennie has un-followed Peter on Twitter. I’ll give you a moment to process that.
Okay, moment’s over.
The two tied the knot in 2011, and have three daughters together: Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona Eve. They met on the set of a TV movie An Unfinished Affair, in 1996.
Last July, it was rumored that the two were taking some time apart and have since been working things out. And just a few months ago, it was reported that the two would star in their own reality show.
The show is supposed to document the family’s move from Los Angeles to a rural, seven-acre farm in central California. It was reportedly going be titled I Love Jennie and was going to air on CMT. No word on the fate of the show.
