Jenna Dewan-Tatum is that effortless type of celebrity, a subset of the Hollywood star who doesn’t have to do much, yet manages to continually land on the cover of weekly and monthly magazines and not for anything remotely negative.
The actress, new mom, and wife of Channing Tatum remains her neutrally nice self on the cover of Ocean Drive magazine where she reveals her post-baby weight loss secret and it’s not as regimented as you’d expect.
“I danced for 22 years of my life, hardcore, every day, seven hours a day,” Jenna told the mag. “I’m lucky that [my body] likes to snap back to that shape as long as I put a little effort into it, but I’m really active. I work with a trainer named Jennifer Johnson in LA. She’s a dancer as well, and she does this amazing workout that’s part cardio, part strength training, part Pilates-based.”
So the real reason is really no reason. Fitness and maintaining her figure just comes naturally to the star who rose to fame thanks to the dance franchise Step Up.
Becoming a mother also taught her to get creative and really push her multi-tasking abilities.
“When Everly was born, I was literally rocking her probably 10 times a day for 45 minutes, and I turned it into a workout,” she continued, “doing squats and lunges around the house.”
