Jay Z has to say.
Jay Z discovered Rihanna in 2004 when he was President of Def Jam and took her under his wing.
Hollyscoop caught up with Jay Z at the 'Third Annual Two Kings Dinner' in Phoenix, Arizona where he was hosting with NBA star Lebron James during the NBA All-Star Weekend.
In response to the reports about Chris Brown allegedly
attacking
Rihanna, Jay Z said, "It's not a sound byte, this is a real situation. You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that."
Jay Z didn’t comment on Chris Brown, but did show his support for Rihanna. "I just think we should all support her. She's going through a tough time. You have to realize she's a young girl, as well. She's very young."
