Jay-Z Gets Sued For Copyright Infringement

September 28, 2008

This past year has been one lawsuit after another for Jay-Z. I Will Not Lose, LLC is the latest company going after Jay accusing him of stealing their logo for his 2007 Rocawear apparel advertising campaign.

I Will Not Lose, LLC CEO Reggie Tucker claims Rocawear used his 'I Will Not Lose' trademarked phrase to promote their clothing line internationally without permission.

In legal papers filed in Georgia Northern District Court on September 18, I Will Not Lose, LLC is suing for an undisclosed amount of damages and seeking the termination of Rocawear's use of the slogan. They'll probably end up settling out of court, while I Will Not Lose, LLC gets a whole bunch of publicity just by being associated with Rocawear.
