Rapper Jay-Z and girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles are in Africa shooting a film documentary ”Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life.” for MTV. Jay Z is touring all over Africa from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Angola. Along the way, Jay Z will wear his UN ambassador hat and champion water sanitation and help improvement projects in the countries he visits.
Jay Z revealed: “In the beginning, when I was going out on a world tour, I was going out to play music but I said to myself, I can’t go to these places I’ve been, and not go out and see the people that have been touched by my music for over 10 years. Well, I’m not just going to go over there and rap to them. I’m going to help and see what I can do in these areas”.
Its good to see that people are becoming more aware of whats happening in the world outside of America and reaching out with a helping hand! Call it the “Brangelina Effect” or the Hollywood Bandwagon, whatever it is we are glad the publicity is helping to benefit the less fortunate.
