I heard that Suri Cruise asked for a pony for Christmas and Tom Cruise gave it to her, but Blue Ivy has existed for 48 hours and already has more toys than all the celebrity babies in the world combined!

Beyonce and Jay-Z spent over $1.5 million on various toys, equipments and Swarovski studded high-chairs. Yep. Diamonds, on a high chair. Who do they think they are, Paris Hilton’s dog?

If you’re a celebrity, having babies is a lucrative business. There’s the announcement, the exclusive interview, and of course, the much anticipated first photos.

Well, Beyonce doesn’t plan on cashing in. One magazine editor says she and Jay-Z “are one of the most private couples. We have made several offers to their people about running exclusive images of mother and baby and no one has responded.”

Glee returns to television on September 21, and expect there to be some great music this season!

In addition to Britney Spears getting her own Brit-tastic episode, New Directions will be putting their own spin on some other big pop music artists’ songs.

According to Rolling Stone, the Glee club will cover Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind,” Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire,” and Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”

The cast will also do Broadway musical standards — “What I Did for Love” from A Chorus Line and “Getting to Know You” from The King and I — as well as “Listen” from the film version of Dreamgirls.

The show’s music supervisor P.J. Bloom told the mag the reason for picking Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” because the nationals on the show will occur in New York. “So we needed a New York song,” Bloom explained.

As for Gaga, Bloom says, “Ryan’s a huge Lady Gaga fan. I suspect we’re going to continue to look to her to be part of the show.”

In other Glee music news: Another soundtrack album could arrive as early as October, and Morrison is wrapping up his solo debut, due on Mercury Records early in 2011.

Also, Jane Lynch said her pick for the next guest star in Simon Cowell. "I think when we do nationals, wouldn't he be a great judge?" Lynch asked Extra. "Local judge, Simon Cowell."

We don’t know who would be meaner—Simon or Sue Sylvester!
Jay-Z is ready to expand his horizons. Jigga man is considering a career in the movie industry once his record contract comes to an end.

He says, "I want to get into the movie business. I love films and that's why I feel I would do a good job. My recording contract runs out after two more albums. Who knows what I will do after that."

He'll probably retire from music another 4 times before he actually makes the transition into movies.
