Jay Leno Staffers Let Go
November 30, 2007 by: HOLLYSCOOP TEAM

Jay Leno staff members who got a Christmas bonus check from Leno himself were given no guarantee of a job when this grueling strike ends.
“Do we have a job when the strike ends? That's what everyone keeps asking,” said one of the 120 staff members. “They've guaranteed no one a job. They just keep saying, 'The letter explains it.” That letter the staff member is referring to is a notice from NBC's human resources department that reads, “If your services are needed, we will contact you.”
Writers that were on strike were not going receive any bonuses. Also still on payroll are the executive producers and some people that answer phones.
"People are devastated today because we thought that he meant something more than an early Christmas bonus," another said. "A lot of people didn't look for other work, based on Jay's assurances."
When is this strike coming to an end? Everyday there are talks that its happening but more and more people keep losing their jobs.
