Jason Derulo has been mum on his relationship with girlfriend and American Idol alum Jordin Sparks, but since his near death experience, when he broke his vertebrae, he’s got a new lease on life and ‘aint afraid to talk up his lovely girlfriend Jordin.

“My favorite thing about Jordin…she always thinks about somebody else, before she thinks about herself.” Derulo told Hollyscoop at the American Idol finale show taping on Wednesday.

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks might have lost some weight over the summer, but she gained a new boyfriend—singer Jason Derulo.

The new couple had a dinner date at Philippe Chow in West Hollywood on Sunday night. And everyone knows, if you want to go public with your romance, have a dinner date in West Hollwood.

So celebs, if you’re going to get annoyed because you’re having a “script meeting” with a fellow actor and everyone assumes it’s a date, stop doing it in West Hollywood. Get together in, oh I don’t know, Culver City? There are other places in this town, ya know.
