Just when we were starting to wonder if she was going to pop, January Jones gave birth. And it's a boy!
The Mad Men star welcomed her first son on Tuesday, according to PEOPLE.
Jones' rep says she and her new son, Xander Dane, are "doing great." Well, aside from being named Xander. But it's not like we were expecting "Jonathan" from a celebrity.
Ironically, before the pregnancy, Jones said of choosing a name:
“I’m having a hard time. I’m looking for boy and girl names obviously, because it’s going to be a surprise for me. I love Cary Grant, I like Marilyn Monroe. That seems kind of like a celebrity thing to do, those weird names. I’m not really into that. I don’t want to be too cliché about it.”
Right, so you went with Xander, a name that either sounds like a prescription drug or a distant planet. I can't decide.
During her pregnancy, January kept the baby's sex a secret, saying, "it's going to be a surprise for me" in an interview in July. She first announced her pregnancy in April, with a source saying "she's really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom."
It wasn't the only detail Jones kept under wraps. Still no official word on who the father is, but everyone from then-boyfriend Jason Sudeikis to X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn have been tossed in as possibilities. Still a mystery so far, though. My money's on Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In getting ready for her pregnancy, Jones has been doing "prenatal yoga."
"I'm just getting started, so we'll see how it goes," January said.
And her favorite pregnancy craving? Dairy Queen.
"We don’t have one in L.A., but I was just home visiting my family in the Midwest and I went, literally, every day,” the actress reveals. I made my dad take me. Pregnant or not, I love Dairy Queen. I usually get a cherry-dipped cone or sometimes I go for a Blizzard and a chili dog if I’m really hungry.”
Congrats to January and her new bundle of joy. Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss says: "We're all really happy for her and it's going to be exciting to have a new little baby in our family."
