Casey Aldridge is finally out of the hospital after his truck accident, but now he has to deal with the legal implications of that night.
After the crash, Casey was charged with careless operation of a vehicle after he drove his car off the road and into a ditch on April 26th.
A lawyer who is not involved with the case tells
People that Casey will face a fine of about $175 and/or imprisonment for 30 days.
The lawyer says, "A typical sentence might be the fine plus court costs. He may not have a prison sentence. If he is given a prison sentence, it (his license) likely will be suspended."
The lawyer went on to say that the fact that Casey had four passengers in the car will affect the outcome because an accident with injuries would be considered more serious than simply running off the road into a ditch."
Do you think it’s fair that Casey could possibly face jail time? He was reportedly not drinking at the time, so it seems like this was just an accident. A fine seems plenty! The kid has already been through enough!
