Jamie Foxx made headlines for bashing
Miley Cyrus on his Foxxhole show over the weekend. Today, he is trying to be a gentleman and apologize.
"I so apologize ... and this is sincere," Foxx said on Tuesday's Tonight Show With Jay Leno. "I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don't mean any of it."
"And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far," he added.
Jamie Foxx, who has a teenage daughter, made some very insulting comments about Miley Cyrus joking about her gums and advising her to do heroin and make a sex tape.
Foxx also explained the premise of his Foxxhole show, "I have a radio show... We're really the black Howard Stern. We go at everybody. There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn't mean it maliciously. You know I'm a comedian. You know my heart."
He then looked into the camera and apologized one more time saying, "Miley, I apologize, so I'll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand."
Do you guys think he went too far with his jokes or is it acceptable since he's a comedian?
