Is Dawson returning to TV?! Is the old gang getting back together again? Yeah, actually.
James Van Der Beek plays a heightened version of his actual self on the show “Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23” and TV Guide is reporting that James’ character on the show is rounding up the old troops for an on-camera silly reunion of “Dawson’s Creek.”
So it’s not like James himself is running around and phoning up Michelle Williams and Katie Holmes and being like “hey guys, let’s make this happen” but rather, the show is organizing the TV reunion.
They’ve got one star confirmed, Busy Philips. She and James will appear in the season premiere episode together.
“We have a big season premiere episode that’s dealing with James potentially trying to do a Dawson’s reunion and his version of what that would like,” says the show’s creator.
The show launched the careers of Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams. Joshua Jackson was also on the show, but I have no idea what that guy is up to. He's probably got a lot of free time to do a reunion.
The cast would actually be down for a reunion, both Michelle and Katie have said in the recent past that they would totally be interested.
Michelle said at Comic-Con that she would “very happily do a reunion show” and Katie said “it would be fun.”
Not exactly a confirmation, but they are all open to the idea!
As of now, the “Dawson’s Creek” reunion on “Don’t Trust The B- In Apartment 23” consists of Busy Phillips and James Van Der Beek. Not so much a “reunion” but hey, we’ll take it.
