HOLLYSCOOP EXCLUSIVE

The British are coming! The British are coming!

Oh, wait they’re already here… Stars like Ricky Gervais, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell have invaded Hollywood for good—and celebs are reacting. Sharon Osbourne, who’s always one to speak her mind, said she thinks it should be the other way around.

“Yeah, I wonder why Americans don’t want to go to England,” Sharon told Hollyscoop. “When you think about it I don’t know why the English come here, I don’t get it. I think it’s still that old thing about America is bigger and better and everybody wants to be here.”

I agree! America—f**k yeah!!!

Actor James McAvoy is Scottish—close enough—and given the FOUR films he has coming out in 2011, it looks like he’s here to stay.

We asked him what he thinks about the British Invasion into Hollywood lately, and he said it’s just another fad.

“I feel like every two minutes it seems to be a British Invasion,” he jokingly told Hollyscoop. “Every year I come to LA, I come here once a year and people go, ‘Hey, what do you think about the British invasion,’ I’m like ‘Another one, oh no there is no British people left in Britain.’

“Next week it will be Australians, the week after Irish and the week after Belgium. I don’t know.”

One Brit reaping the benefits of the good ole U.S. of A is the new Larry King--Piers Morgan—who’s remained pretty humble despite his huge new job!

“No one could ever replace Larry King,” Morgan told HS. “He is an iconic figure, he’s one of the great interviewers in the world; he has been for 25 years on TV. No one is going to replace him, its like Simon Cowell on American Idol.”

Speaking of Simon, he’s like the poster child for living the dream in America. He walked away from his American Idol offer of $150 grand last year to launch X Factor—which starts in September. And I have a hunch it’s going to be just a tad popular.

Congrats to James McAvoy and his wife Anne-Marie Duff, who are expecting their first child together.

"We are happy to confirm that James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff are expecting their first child," rep Rupert Fowler said in a statement. "We have no further comment or information at this time."

Duff, 39, who starred in the BBC4 film Margot as prima ballerina Margot Fonteyn, recently spoke about wanting to become a mother.

"I would love to have a baby. I'm not putting it off but unfortunately bodies don't work that way," she said.

The couple tied the knot back in October 2006. Congrats!
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
OMFG! Could James McAvoy look any hotter on the cover of Details Magazine?

The Wanted star talks to Details about soccer, being in action flicks, and loving Hugh Grant. You can see his video interview here.

James is not only super hot but he also one of the nicest celebrities out there. He is very humble which makes him even a bigger superstar in our eyes.
James McAvoy is one of the only true actors out there. While anyone would gladly make an extra buck off of a commercial, James isn't into celebrity-endorsed products.

He says, "As soon as you start to try and sell people stuff then surely you contravene some contract with the film-going public? Even if they know the type of clothes you like to wear - then it becomes funny for them watching you wearing a tux. I know those are tiny little things but I do think that makes a difference."

He's made his career off of being a great actor and great guy. He's been married to his wife for a long time, and even talks about quitting acting so he won't get anymore famous. If he ever does quit, James could get a job teaching other celebs a little bit about humility!
James McAvoy says he wants to quit acting for a little while.  He's been pretty busy lately, and with the hype of his latest movie Wanted, the guy probably does need a break.

He says, "I'm going to not act for a little while and take some space and take some time - and make some 'me' time, you know, all that rubbish."

Well James better hurry up and get that "me" time in quick, since rumor has it, he's already accepted a role in the Hobbit.

He does say that he felt like he was working too hard, and wanted to slow his roll a little bit. He's probably taking note from all his peers entering rehab and hospitals for exhaustion and doesn't want that for himself!
James McAvoy, who stars with Angelina Jolie in the upcoming film Wanted, dished about his co-star on the British show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.  And of course, James told us what we wanted to hear: what it was like to kiss Angelina Jolie

He said, "I was nervous, but after five minutes I thought this is going to be all right, it's cool. She was in very good shape.

It could be anybody when you're kissing someone on film, you have to make it look good. She's pretty much in control of the situation."

Well we're sure these two had no trouble making it look good!  And it doesn't surprise us that Angie is in control while on set. Wanted opens in theatres on June 27th.
The world premiere of Angelina Jolie's new movie Wanted has been unexpectedly canceled. It was supposed to take place in London at Leicester Square tomorrow.

Could this mean she's about to pop any minute now? We haven't seen her or Brad out in the last week or so, so it makes sense! But they didn't have to go and cancel the whole event.

There are other actors in the film too who would be happy to attend, we're sure!

We are one day away from one of the biggest film festivals of the world, the Festival de Cannes 2008. More than 4,000 journalists will flock to the small town off the French Riviera, not to mention the slew of paparazzi waiting to get a shot of the biggest movie stars in the world.

The biggest buzz surrounds Steven Spielberg’s latest film, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” which will have its world premiere Sunday May 18, 2008. The premiere will bring in its writer George Lucas and stars Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf.

Other stars that are making their way to Cannes this year include Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The couple are currently in Monaco hanging out with their A-list pals which includes Bono. Angelina will be debuting her latest flick “Wanted” starring alongside James McAvoy.

Other films to debut at Cannes include “Adoration” by Canadian Director Atom Egoyan, “Kung Fu Panda” starring Jack Black,”Vicky Cristina Barcelona” starring Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem directed by Woody Allen.

This year director/actor Sean Penn will head the Film Festival Jury as president and Natalie Portman will serve as a juror. The festival will extend until May 25,2008 and Hollyscoop will be brining you the latest coverage.

In the meantime check out the movie trailer for the most anticipated flick for summer Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

James McAvoy gained international success off his role in 'Atonement' but the actor insists he'd give up the business in a heartbeat for his actress wife Anne Marie Duff.

He tells Closer magazine, "We try to organize it so that one of us is there when the other is working. But it doesn't always happen! "It's great when we're both working, but it means we don't see each other, so one of us to make a decision to not work for a few months.

"So I'm slowing down now and I'll be her bitch while she makes a movie!"

Aww he's gorgeous and a good hubby. Now that’s a deadly combo!

Entertainment Weekly has just released their picks for the 30 Under 30, which highlights the finest young stars in Hollywood who haven't hit the 30 mark yet.

EW took all the cuties and stuck them in a massive photospread for their current issue.

Actors include Michael Cera of Juno; Jake Gyllenhaal; Hayden Christiansen, star of Jumper; James McAvoy; Seth Rogan of Knocked Up; and of course, not to be left out of any list, Justin Timberlake.

What, no love for the ladies? Come on EW! Maybe, there's a ladies version coming soon too?
