The Black Eyed Peas has managed to get one of the best director’s of all time to direct their concert movie in 3D.
“Right now we are planning our 3D tour movie and James Cameron is directing it,” will.i.am tells Vibe magazine.
Will.i.am then went on to say that the reason they have the best director in the world directing 3d movie is because they are the best group in the world. Very humble!
“We have the biggest director because we are the biggest group on the planet. The Peas are filming it in South America. People will be able to see us in the theater with the 3D glasses and everything.”
“There will be a storyline that [Cameron] came up with, which will be dope,” he says. “It’s a full-length film and it’s based around our tour activities. We’ve toured from America and Europe, to the Middle East, South America, Asia and Africa.
The project is set to be released sometime next year. We’re assuming they’re gathering some footage right now while they are on their world tour.
This isn't the first time a big shot director has worked with a band. Martin Scorsese directed "Shine a Light" which was a documentary on the Rolling Stones, with concert footage from their "A Bigger Bang" tour.
