Her casket began its journey in Bermondsey, South London, at about 8.30 a.m., with the procession crossing historic Tower Bridge before heading north to her home of Upshire, Essex, reports People magazine.
Her husband, Jack Tweed was one of six pallbearers carrying the white coffin into St John's Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
During the ceremony he recited a poem he had written for his late wife. "My life will never be the same without you by my side," it read. "Grief almost too much to bear and difficult to hide."
Jade passed away on March 22 after a short battle with cervical cancer. She was 27. A cancer diary she has called A Love Letter will be published this coming spring. She wrote the diary for her sons. Rest in peace Jade.

She died of cervical cancer at the age of 27, which has prompted a lot of people to start being more proactive when it comes to getting screenings.
A spokesman for Jade’s family told the London Times that director Nick Love has already been approached to do the film. A spokesperson at Vertigo films, Love's company, said he was "very flattered" by the suggestion.
The family rep went on to say, "Her story lends itself to a biographical film. She's captured the mood of the nation. We want it to tap into raising awareness of cervical cancer."
And it seems everyone is interested in learning more about Jade. Her publicist Max Clifford tells the Daily Telegraph, "Everyone wants to cover her story. I've had interview requests from Larry King, Oprah Winfrey and every major TV network.
"She has achieved so much by simply being herself and telling people just how it is. That's the most refreshing thing about Jade - her honesty.”
"When a story becomes this big, the more chance there is about something like that happening."
We could definitely see this happening, but it seems a little too soon to be making money off of Jade’s cancer battle. The family should be allowed some time to grieve before giving up the rights to her story!

Goody's funeral will be held on April 4th at Epping Forest Burial Park in North Weald. A funereal procession will depart from her home in Upshire, Essex at 12:00 GMT on Saturday April 4th, before a service at St John's Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill.
Television screens are to be placed outside the church to relay the funeral service to mourners outside and thousands of fans are expected to line the funeral route next month.
Goody's publicist Max Clifford said the service would be a "celebration" of her life.
Goody died at her home this past weekend with her mother Jackiey Budden and husband Jack Tweed at her side. She leaves behind two boys.
Hopefully Goody's story will help raise awareness for the deadly disease and encourage women all over the world to get regular screening and check ups.

Goody is best known for appearing on the U.K.'s Big Brother back in 2002, but made headlines in the past few months for documenting her battle against the deadly disease.
Speaking about Goody, Brown said, "I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Jade Goody's death. She was a courageous woman both in life and death and the whole country have admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children.
"She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and her family can be extremely proud of the work she has done to raise awareness of cervical cancer which will benefit thousands of women."
Goody's former partner Jeff Brazier, the father of her two sons Bobby, 5, Freddie, 4, added: "I'm grateful the boys were able to say their goodbyes and spend that precious time with their wonderful mother.
"Bobby and Freddie are my absolute priority and I will be doing everything I can to be their rock and to give them all my love and support to get them through a confusing and upsetting time."
Gosford Park actor Stephen Fry took to his Twitter.com page to write: "Poor, dear Jade... I warmed to her immensely. All impulsive spirit and smiles. What a life. Jade lived life under a magnifying glass. Magnifying glasses magnify (obviously) but they distort and they burn. I suppose she was a kind of Princess D (Diana) from the wrong side of the tracks."
Prince Azim, the son of the Sultan of Brunei and a friend of Goody's, added: "Jade was a warm and lovely lady. My condolences to (husband) Jack (Tweed) and her family."
Our condolences go out to her family. We expect tons of tributes to pour in in the next few days.

"She had been asleep the past 24 hours and it happened very peacefully," her publicist Max Clifford said in a statement. "Everyone is, of course, devastated, but we knew this was coming. I'm just glad people are remembering her as a brave girl who took on this battle with courage and gusto. She's inspired a lot of people."
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, "She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and her family can be extremely proud of the work she has done to raise awareness of cervical cancer, which will benefit thousands of women across the UK."
Goody was known to be very loud, outspoken and very controversial as she rose to fame on the reality show Big Brother in 2002.
Jade recently married her boyfriend Jack Tweed and has two sons from a previous relationship.
RIP Jade!
