Will Smith will be reviving his role as Dr. Robert Neville for a prequel to I Am Legend, which has been confirmed by director Francis Lawrence.
He's already working on a follow-up to the movie, but there are major obstacles to conquer before it comes to fruition.
The first hurdle is the story line, which Lawrence is coming up with now, and the next is the major New York City scenes. The crew will have to block off huge areas of NYC for the film, which didn't go over well the first time. You know how New Yorkers can be!
But lucky for the director, he has his pea-ons that will help make sure it goes off without a hitch!
He says, "The first time you go out there and shut down 6th Avenue, it's like, 'How are we going to do this day after day after day?' But by the end, it's just like you know how to do it. You got the PAs who know how to shut it down, how to let the traffic through in between set-ups and you just sort of get the routine down, so that's not the issue."
