Hulk Hogan. biography

American wrestler and actor Hulk Hogan was born Terry Bollea on August 11, 1953 in Augusta, Georgia. He excelled in sports throughout his youth and was a fan of wrestling. He began wrestling in 1976 and made his professional debut in Fort Myers, FL the following year. The birth of Hulkamania came in 1983. Hogan was the centerpiece of the WWF for the rest of the decade.

After achieving great success with WWF, Hogan joined Ted Turner's wrestling outfit WCW in 1994. Hogan single handedly boosted ratings. Away from wrestling, Hogan has made several movies, including Mr. Nanny and No Holds Barred.

Most recently, he and his family starred in Hogan Knows Best on VH1. The show was a success but the family was a mess. His wife, Linda, filed for divorce in 2007 and his son Nick was sentenced to prison for a drag racing accident. Hulk is currently living with his daughter and stars in the reality series Brooke Knows Best.
