Hugh Jackman has been chosen to host the 81st annual Academy Awards ceremony on February 22nd.
“Hugh Jackman is a consummate entertainer and an internationally renowned movie star,” said producer Laurence Mark and executive producer Bill Condon in a joint statement. “He also has style, elegance and a sense of occasion. Hugh is the ideal choice to host a celebration of the year’s movies – and to have fun doing it.”
It's be the first time Jackman will host the Oscars, but don't worry he has prior hosting experience. He won an Emmy in 2005 for hosting the 59th annual Tony Awards in 2004.
The Oscars will air on ABC live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Feb. 22. Which movies/actors are you hoping will get nominated?
