Late night radio host Howard Stern is in “serious negotiations” with NBC to become a judge on family friendly talent show, “America’s Got Talent.”

The shock-jock is going to Primetime television? I don’t think the FCC is prepared for this.

After Piers Morgan threw in the towel as a judge on the talent show, that left the judging spot next to Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel wide open.

Strangely enough this show likes to fill it’s judging panel with people who have a very little eye for talent other than being good at talking.

There’s a lot of money floating around Hollywood. If you get the right gig, you can make thousands a day just holding a boom mic. So imagine how much the show runners make—the directors, producers, executives, Brad Pitts...it’s disgusting.

Yet, we only have ourselves to blame. We love our entertainment. A lot. If you want to see how much people love their entertainment, try turning off the TV while someone is watching the American Idol results. Beware, it can get ugly.

Here are the top ten Highest Paid Men in Entertainment of 2010-2011, according to Forbes.

1. Tyler Perry: $130 million: Apparently, someone is actually watching Meet the Browns, House of Payne, and Madea’s Big Happy Family. I don’t want to say these movies are terrible, because I think the billboards of Tyler Perry dressing in drag under the caption: “GOOD AFTERNOONT!” speak for themselves. Maybe Tyler is onto something here, though. Because it looks like he’s playing every character in the movie himself. Guy saves a ton on actors' salaries.

Crystal Harris caused an uproar when she went on Howard Stern to tell the world that Hugh Hefner was a two-minute man. Harris says that Stern scared her into “lying” about the confession.

I’m not sure what it is about Howard Stern that makes people divulge their deepest, darkest sexual secrets and even throw their partners under the bus.

Oprah has the power to get people to talk about their inner feelings, but http://www.hollyscoop.com/howard-stern might be even better at getting people to talk about their sexual exploits. Here are seven celebs and their shocking sexual confessions to Howard Stern.

Crystal Harris has been spending the past week removing her foot from her mouth, and now that she can speak again, she’s placing the blame on Howard Stern. Harris tweeted:

“He’s harsh. I was unprepared and blurted out things I shouldn’t have said, I’m sorry.”

I believe her. I don’t know why, but Howard Stern seems to have some insane control over people that makes them divulge the most disgusting, intimate details of their personal lives. Howard Stern can just look at you, and you’ll blurt out, “I had an orgy in the alley behind Krispy Kreme.” It’s probably not even true--that’s just the Howard Stern Effect!

Harris also added that she “lied about [the] relationship.”

Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian was booted off stage after declining a dance with Prince.

What’s that, you didn’t hear anything about this? Oh, that’s because it’s completely insignificant. Except to Howard Stern, who not only commented on it, but defended Kardashian's honor, calling Prince an arrogant asshole and a scumbag. This coming from the guy who was fined $600,000 for saying he "masturbated to a picture of Aunt Jemima on a pancake box."

I don't know Prince personally, but when someone like that calls you a scumbag, it might be time to take a long hard look at yourself.

Stern continued on his radio show: “She doesn’t know what to do. Apparently she’s supposed to dance like a stripper for him and she just stood there not knowing what to do. He throws her off the stage because she can’t read f–king Prince’s mind. He’s a bulls–t artist. I’m done with him.” Who the hell is this? What’s happening to Howard Stern? What happened to the porn stars? The strippers? Fartman? He’s becoming nothing more than a grumpy old man ranting on the air. We might as well replace him with Andy Rooney.
David Arquette called Howard Stern this morning to talk about his break up with Courteney Cox.

He is clearly upset that people are talking smack about him for allegedly cheating with the cocktail waitress.

David says that he and Cox are the best of friends, but that’s all there relationship was…a friendship.

"We're not having sex, and I completely understand," Arquette said when touching on the point that they haven’t had sex in 4 months. "She's in a place of wanting to be real and emotional. She's an emotional being. She's an amazing woman. If it doesn't feel right, she doesn't feel like bonding in that way."

He also touched on his immaturity being a problem for Cox.

"She says that to me: 'I don't wanna be your mother anymore,' " Arquette said. "I appreciated that. I respected that. I've been going to therapy. I'm trying to grow up."

David also got very emotional during the phone call calling Cox his “best friend," and added: "She's the greatest woman I've ever met … Now, yes, she's got her issues. She tries to take on everybody's problem. She tries to be the mother to everyone – that's why she doesn't want to be the mother to me anymore."

"The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage," they said.

It’s sad when people fall out of love, but sometimes there’s just nothing you can do about it. When the spark is gone, it’s gone!

With American Idol ending next week and Simon Cowell leaving after this season, the question on everyone’s minds is: Who is going to take over the infamous judge’s seat?

Simon’s made a name for himself as the stern--yet fair--judge on Idol, and finding his successor will likely be a much bigger challenge for show execs than replacing Paula Abdul. Here is Hollyscoop's list for the top ten people we wouldn't mind seeing fill Cowell's shoes.

Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol after this season. But he still has an opinion about the kind of person he wants to replace him. We've heard tons of rumors about people who are in talks to fill the job. But Simon's only requirement is that they're attractive--and know a thing or two about the music industry.

He tells People, "You have to be good looking. Secondly, you have to know what you’re talking about. I’m starting to realize with these shows that you have to put people on that actually know what they’re talking about. Rather than guessing, they really have to have experience, so that you cannot just criticize — you can offer constructive advice as well."

As for Howard Stern, who at one point was the supposed front-runner for the position, Cowell says, "He doesn’t seem to fit any of the criteria. He’s played records. Maybe that’s a good qualification — that he’s played records and is a DJ. But he obviously wants the job. Good luck to him."

One thing is for sure--Simon will be missed on the show. No one really gives the contestants criticism like he does. And Simon seems humbled that the public has sided with him despite his cranky attitude. "It’s very, very flattering. I really do appreciate it. Like I said before, the show goes on. I’m going to feel sad when it all ends," Simon says.

As for the remainder of the season, Simon has his sites set high on who he wants for a mentor for the season. He says, "We should have Lady Gaga because she is the most relevant pop artist in the world at the moment. She’s very smart. I like her."

He'd better start calling her now, because Gaga is one busy lady!
The rumors about Howard Stern in talks to fill a judging seat on American Idol are true! The only problem is that the shock jock wants a whole lot more money than they’re offering.

Stern joked about joining the program, saying on his radio show, "There's not a better job on the planet than judging that f--king karaoke contest. It might be possible, we'll see. They'd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough."

"By the way, they had it all wrong," he added. "I never said I got made an offer. I said I was in discussions to take over a show on a network.. "They got me up to $100 million a year. I'll do that. I like that. You know what? OK. $100 million to judge a karaoke contest? OK. Why not? Oprah takes every offer on the table, why shouldn't I?”

Howard kept up his usual crass attitude, saying, "If I do say so myself, I can't imagine anyone else but me replacing him. I mean, I don't know. How else are they going to make that show work? Who knows how to broadcast and who knows how to be interesting? And who's not afraid to speak their mind?”

"By the way, if I was the judge on American Idol, looks would play into the judging, too," he added, saying that his tenure would be "like The Biggest Loser and American Idol combined. I'm gonna be frank with these people."

Based on this, we do not want him on the show! Simon Cowell is opinionated, but at least he’s fair! Howard would probably ask the female contestants to take their clothes off on stage!

What do you think of Howard as a replacement?
There have been countless names thrown into the mix of possible replacements for Simon Cowell on American Idol. But the latest person is definitely the most shocking!

Howard Stern is reportedly in talks with executives to join the judging panel alongside Ellen Degeneres, Kara Dioguardi and Randy Jackson. A source tells Page Six, "(American Idol) is one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million-a-year Sirius contract, and Idol bosses think he'd be even nastier than Simon."

Well Howard certainly isn’t afraid to speak his mind! In addition, Stern recently announced he is looking for work when his contract with Sirius XM Radio expires next January, and during his radio show on Wednesday he hinted he has been approached by TV bosses about a new job.

He said, "Recently I was approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show and leave here and do that next year - and I did turn it down. Well, I didn't turn it down. I started to entertain it and think about it, and then I probably think my demands are pretty heavy and they were attempting to negotiate and I said 'you don't have to'."

We think Howard’s honesty would be a perfect fit for the show, but the radio host might be a tad too sleazy for such a family-oriented show!
