Stern and the two others are accused on six felony counts of prescribing, administering, and dispensing a controlled substance to an addict.
City prosecutor Renee Rose is now requesting that Stern, Eroshevich, and Kapoor each submit handwritten notes to law enforcement officials to prove whether or not any of them were writing prescriptions to Anna Nicole.
Stern’s lawyer Steve Sadow told the press today, “He isn’t a doctor. He isn’t signing prescriptions. He isn’t issuing prescriptions. Howard K. Stern did not commit a criminal act.”
They’ll now have to wait until the next preliminary hearing, which has been set for June 8th. If convicted, each faces a maximum of five years and eight months in state prison.
Do you believe Howard K. Stern is innocent in this case?
