Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner, and while we're technically supposed to be celebrating Mexican Independence Day, most of us are also celebrating cocktails on special.
If you don't already have plans, we just made them for you!
Yxta, a new Restaurant in Downtown's Industrial District would be perfect for any Cinco de Mayo celebrations!
Yxta Cocina Mexicana opens in Downtown Los Angeles’ burgeoning new neighborhood, The Industrial District,
with the promise of a thoroughly unique interpretation, that transforms the common Mexican dining experience into a sultry and chic lounge environment where classic cultural cuisine is re-imagined and served amidst an atmosphere replete with color and subtle high concept design.
On the heels of the continued success of El Arco Iris, a 45 year old restaurant started by Gustavo and Irene Montes in the Highland Park section of Los Angeles, grandson and current owner, Jesse Gomez, brings a lifetime of flavor and tradition to a new audience with the introduction of Yxta.
Everything is made from scratch on the premises. Signature selections include Tostadas de Atún, Beef Empanadas, Tacos al Pastor, Pollo en Mole Poblano, Machaca con Huevos, Taquitos de Camaron, Carnitas Estilo Michoacan, Tacos de Pescado, Tinga de Pollo, Salmon en Salsa de Mango and Flan de Piña for dessert.
Signature selections from the drink menu include, Jamaica Margarita, Mexican Russian, Margarita de Sangre Naranja, Escabeche Martini, Chipotle Bloody Mary, as well as a broad selection of fine tequilas and wines.
If you're still not convinced, check out the restaurant yourself, you won't be disappointed!
