Wayne Newton is back and better than ever! Newton has a new show, “
Once Before I Go” at a new hotel, the
Tropicana Hotel and Casino.
The venue is familiar to Newton as it was where he got his first start in his very long career in show-business.The Tropicana hotel has been alive and kicking for over 50 years and now its co-owner Alex Yemenidjian is giving it a $100 million dollar face-lift.
The hotel is set to be completed with it's renovation next year and let’s just say there’s a lot of buzz surrounding it. The hotel is set to be one of the hottest new spots in Las Vegas with fine dinning, Entertainment, pool scene and night club.
This past week, Wayne Newton celebrated the Opening Night of his all-new show at the Tropicana with a star-studded red carpet and gala. Newton’s limited engagement production is in honor of his 50 years as an entertainment icon on the Las Vegas Strip.
The highlight of the evening was when
Dancing with the Stars pro
Cheryl Burke, made a surprise on stage appearance to support her favorite dance partner by adding a fedora and mustache to Newton’s ensemble, as she did during their final Tango performance in the 2007 season.
In addition to Burke, several sizzling DWTS pros walked the red carpet and attended the premiere including Edyta Sliwinska, Alex Mazo, Anna Trebunskaya and Jonathan Roberts.
Other celebs included Drew Carey, Holly Madison and Vanna White, among others.
