Thousands of bars and taverns in the Big Apple will be celebrating Red Monday today for the 75th anniversary of the Bloody Mary.

The drink, which originated in Manhattan in 1933, will be the toast of the town today. New York based companies will be handing out Bloody Marys throughout the tri-state area all day in honor of the anniversary.

President elect Barack Obama and Michelle Obama made a private, yet public appearance this past Saturday night in Chicago. The couple were spotted at Italian four star eatery Spiaggia, which is quickly becoming a hot spot.
