Los Angeles Lakers star
Lamar Odom is working hard on and off the court. Odom recently hosted a Fundraiser at L.A. hotspot
S Bar for "Cathy’s Kids Foundation" in order to help the treatment of a 5-year old boy from Kansas City, who is diagnosed with brain cancer.
Hollyscoop hit the star-studded event where we caught up with Odom and his Laker teammates on why the organization is so important.
Odom, who founded the organization in March 2004 has been working to help children in inner cities, making sure they have the opportunities to receive the adequate education and an opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
Over 35 kids in the Los Angeles and New York area benefit from the help of Cathy’s Kids with over $ 2.5 million in educational scholarships. Lamar is also committed to generating funds for continued research, care and clinics as well as education and awareness programs related to cancer, especially for minorities.
