Central Park Horse Carriages In Jeopardy?

One of the coolest things to do in New York City is take a horse-carriage through Central Park. It’s beautiful seeing the scenic route, can be very romantic, fun and heck even Brangelina does it.

However the cities favorite tourist attraction may become extinct, thanks to PETA. The animal rights organization held a protest today in Central Park wanting to ban the carriages.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Chrissie Hynde led the pack today as the march led on to save the horses. What would Peta have done in the Middle Ages when everyone traveled by carriages?

If you read into the Animal Liberation Movement, such as "From Dusk 'til Dawn", you will read that a large number of vegetarians in the 19th century boycotted the horse and cart and even a few took direct action to stop them, such as blocking their paths and standing in front of them. So there is your answer...
