Hollyscoop Gets Social
As promised, Hollyscoop is always out looking for the newest “hot spots” in town. This past Saturday, we headed over to a new restaurant that has hit the Hollywood circuit and its called Social. The restaurant opened by Jeffrey Chodorow might be new, but the location is a Tinsletown landmark.
This spot first debuted in the 20’s as one of Hollywood’s original haunts, once known as The Hollywood Athletic Club or as they would say "Playground to the Stars". The private club attracted the biggest names of the golden era, including its founders Cecil B. De Mille, Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino and John Wayne.
Today the creator of Asia de Cuba has renovated this Hollywood spot with a modern bar and a lounge where guests could sip their drink before dining in the vaulted, Moroccan infused restaurant with the finest feast, fit for a king. There is also a private club upstairs that requires a membership. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it upstairs but we definitely recommend Social for dinner and drinks.
After Social, we hit Hollywood hot spot Mood for a friend’s birthday. We were overwhelmed when we were approached by many club goers that read our site. Thank you all for the support and keep reading Hollyscoop. Without the love and support, we could not exist! Enjoy the pictures!
