Italy is getting ready for an explosion of A-listers as the 63rd Venice Film Festival kicked off today with the screening of Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia. The start studded cast includes Josh Hartnett, Scarlett Johansson, Aaron Eckhart, Hilary Swank, Mia Kirshner, Mike Starr, and Fiona Shaw. The films stars such as Scarlett Johansson and Josh Hartnett have already been sighted. The most awkward sighting was Hilary Swank and her “not romantically involved” separated Creative Artists Agency agent, John Campisi. According to US Weekly, the pair were spotted smooching in the streets of Italy. The pair has been spending a lot of time together off work and was enjoying a good holiday in Rome and Lake Como. The ugly part of this story is that John is still married and has a toddler. However sources tell US WeeklyHe wants to be with Hilary.

Other stars expected to appear in Venice over the next 11 days include Adrien Brody, Jackie Chan and Sandra Bullock. Among the other films set to cause a stir at this year's festival is the political drama Bobby, a biopic of iconic American politician Robert Kennedy which features Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sharon Stone, Demi Moore and Christian Slater.
