Hilary's Awkward Run In With Ex

Running into your ex boyfriend isn’t always easy and Hilary Duff is learning the hard way. The Duffster had her first awkward run in with her ex boyfriend Joel Madden yesterday. Hilary revealed to People magazine , "I just did TRL today and Joel was there, and it was the first time we'd seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking." "I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is."

The Duffster and Joel dated for nearly two and a half years and Joel is currently dating Nicole Richie. Hilary said there wasn’t much she could do in her situation, "I mean, what am I going to do?" "It's life."

Hilary did reveal that the run in was awkward, It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me." "I'm happy and he's happy and I think that's all that counts."

Aww Hilary is so adorable, we just want to give her a big bear hug! From the way things sound, you can tell Hilary is still crushed by the breakup.

I feel so bad for her. Nicole is skanky and Joel is a loser. How can someone "love" someone for so long and the next day jump into a new relationship? Its cold and harsh. I wish nothing but the best for my lil hilary. I love her, she is super classy and will find someone that will actually respect and love her. Im sure she is heartbroken but she will get through this.
