What's the worst thing that can happen to a bride on her wedding day, besides the groom not showing up? A pimple? The dress not fitting? How about a chipped tooth?
Poor Hilary Duff got a chipped tooth on her wedding day, just hours before she walked down the aisle.
She said: "I started my day with a chipped tooth. My wedding planner snuck me out to the dentist! Thank goodness it was fixed within the hour."
What caused the chip? Hilary got veneers a few years back, and anyone who has them knows how sensitive they can be. Luckily she got it fixed right in time, or else every single photo would have had to have been photoshopped!
Duff also confessed that when it came to their wedding vows they got a little help from Google.
She explained to OK! magazine: "We didn't write our vows word for word. I researched on the internet for three days! I read about other people's ceremonies, picking and choosing what I liked. We chose a few poems and a ring blessing."
And her favorite part of the wedding? “I wanted junk food - because I've been so good. I said to my sister Haylie, 'After the wedding is over, I'm going to eat 16,000 calories!'
“The food was one of the most exciting parts of planning. The catering company cooked everything for us so we could taste everything they were going to serve. Mike and I have a favorite restaurant, Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, so they modeled this delicious truffle corn ravioli from there. We had pigs in a blanket; these really cute heart-shaped, puffed, fried things; sliders with Wagyu beef and Gruyere cheese; pepper-crusted rib-eye steak; and miso-glazed black cod.
Duff and her hubby Mike said "I Do" in front of 100 guests on Saturday in Santa Barbara. Congrats you two! She should definitely send an extra Thank You note to that dentist!
