“Lizzie McGuire” fans unite… Hilary Duff is back!
The girl who popularized “Frizzie Lizzies” and tofu bacon, is about to grace us with her presence on the television screen once again. Lizzie McGuir… I mean Hilary Duff… has signed a development deal with 20th Century Fox TV for a brand spanking new half-hour comedy.
News came from Duff herself, as she tweeted at her followers about the exciting enterprise, saying that it was “official” and that she was “very excited.”

According to Deadline Hollywood, the deal will attach Duff to help develop and to star in a new half-hour comedy from the entertainment giant.
In addition to the new show, the deal will also allow 20th TV to cast Duff in another comedy or drama if the project that she is attached to stays on the drawing board and does not move forward.
The main focus of the contract is to find the sweet spot of Duff’s comedic abilities and to tailor the new show to where she shines through best.
Duff found stardom through “Lizzie McGuire,” which ran new episodes on the Disney Channel from 2001 through 2004. From there, she moved on to a rather successful Lizzie McGuire movie and later appeared on the sassy hit show “Gossip Girl.”
The actress welcomed her first child Luca Cruz into the world in March with her hockey-playing husband Mike Comrie. She also just published her third novel and final novel in the teen Elixir series in July.
Busy girl and lucky us!
