Great news all you fans of Hilary Duff’s literary ventures, the third and final novel of her Elixir series is set for publication early next year.
In case you didn’t know that the actress/pop star/fashion designer and proud new mom is also an author… keep reading.
True fans of teen fiction know that her first young adult novel, Elixir (2010) is some paranormal love story mystery thing about the young -- beautiful, famous, plagued by paparazzi -- Clea who has some kind of supernatural talents and a penchant for photography. The second one, Devoted (2011) appears to be more of the same.
Entertainment Weekly has the details on True: An Elixir Novel, set for publication April 2013. And for those of you who can’t wait that long, they include a sneak peek at a sample chapter.
It starts with musings on soul mates and reincarnation. That’s as far as I got.
With the trilogy concluded, Hilary is now freed up to focus on her first priority, family life -- taking care of four month old son Luca whom she shares with her husband of two years, NHL player Mike Comrie.
As far as her professional pursuits, she is set to release a new studio album sometime this year. Though she has recently tweeted about reading a script, she doesn’t appear to have any immediate plans to return to acting.
Duff’s first book earned a spot in the Top 10 on the Billboard charts… oh, wait, wrong venue. I mean, it was a New York Times bestseller.
