Hey, look. It’s a baby!
Hilary Duff just Tweeted the first photo the public has seen of her new son, Luca Cruz Comrie.
I don’t think Hilary knows she’s a celebrity. Because she could’ve probably nabbed quarter of a mil for this.
“Baby Luca, 2 weeks old,” Hilary wrote above a picture of her son, wrapped in a blanket.
Luca is the first child for Duff and her husband, retired hockey player Mike Comrie. The two tied the knot in August of 2010.
“Thank you for all the messages and well wishes,” Duff adds. “I love you all so much.”
You gotta give celebs props when they decide to forego selling out their kids’ photos. Personally, I would’ve sold the ultrasound pics for five bucks a pop, but good for Hilary. Beyonce recently did the same thing, when she and husband Jay-Z posted the first photos of Blue Ivy Carter on their website. The Carter Family wrote:
“We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time in our lives.”
Meanwhile, Hilary has been adjusting to the new mom sleep schedule, which is--you don’t sleep.
“4 am…Sleepy eyed,” Duff Tweeted last week. “Feeding baby…whew this job is no joke!”
Earlier that week, Hilary wrote:
“Luca fed! Mamma fed! Time to do it all again in 2 hours! Oh how life has changed! In such a wonderful way.”
I know exactly how she feels. I used to have a DigiPet.
