I don’t know what it is about Heidi Montag that arouses hate in everyone, but at least Bravo executive Andy Cohen regrets being so harsh to the young reality star.
“I guess I got a little carried away,” Cohen said.
It’s not exactly a card and flowers, but it’s probably the best you can squeeze from someone who said they’d rather be stabbed in the eyes than have you on their show.
Last week, Montag Tweeted that she was ready to join the ranks of women on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (she’s a wife and she lives in Beverly Hills, but she’s pushing it with the ‘real’ part). Cohen responded with the following statement:
“That trash is delusional and I would sooner stab ... knives into my own eyes than see her on this network."
Somebody get a plastic baggie, because that’s some Grade A sh-t slingin’! Cohen explained that he was at a “tipping point” last week from dealing with all the rumors about the show.
His response comes after Heidi’s husband, Spencer Pratt, demanded a public apology, furious that Cohen called his wife “trash”.
“You think you're special because you have your little talk show that's hurting in ratings doesn't give you special authority to bash a young girl,” Pratt said.
Poor Heidi. This came the same week that she was supposedly banned from showing up to the premiere of Just Go with It. If only she could still cry.
