Paul McCartney Recovering from Heart Surgery

Paul McCartney

'Beatles' legend Paul McCartney is said to be recovering just fine after undergoing heart surgery. McCartney was said to have had coronary angioplasty, a procedure to open up arteries, allowing a greater flow of blood to and from the heart.

McCartney was in such good spirits following his surgery he even made an appearance onstage with Kylie Minogue for the New Years Eve countdown. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Paul had been complaining about not feeling well and saw a Harley Street specialist at The London Clinic.

"Tests were carried out and the decision was taken to operate. Paul had the angioplasty in a private hospital. It was all very routine but any work on your heart is a big deal." A spokesman for McCartney confirmed the surgery adding, "It was a routine medical operation."

We wish him a speedy recovery...although it looks like he's already on top of that.

I love Paul McCartney and his music and I am so sorry to hear that he had heart surgery. I hope he has a speedy recovery. However, I am not really surprised about him having a heart problem, seeing that he is a 65 year old man who is going through a very stressful and nasty divorce. I kind of thought something like this might happen to him, but hopefully he will get better real soon.
