No Drugs On $20 Bill

Heath Ledger

Earlier this morning there were reports that there was a $20 bill that was recovered from Heath Ledger’s apartment that had some sort of residue on it. The cops had submitted the bill for testing and reports have come back clean.

It seems like Ledger only had prescribed medicine at his house, which included Ambien (sleeping medicine), Xanax and Valium, which are both anti-anxiety drugs.

Friends say that Heath would often complain about being sleepy and tired. In an interview with the NY Times Ledger even admitted having anxiety and a lot of trouble sleeping. "Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night," he told The Times. "I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted and my mind was still going." Ledger continued to say that taking one pill had no effect on him. He'd have to take second to fall asleep, only to awake an hour later with his "mind still racing."

His body has been since transferred from the Medical Examiner's office to the Campbell Funeral Home in NY.

UPDATE: Sources at the NYPD are telling TMZ that 5 different prescription pill bottles were found at Heath's home at the time of his death.

1- Xanax (anti-anxiety)
2- Valium (anti-anxiety)
3- Ativan (anti-anxiety)
4-Lunesta (sleeping aid)
5- Restoril (sleeping aid)

I don't believe the drug story. I think this is really messed up and it all started with page six spreading lies as usual.

it sounds to me like his schedule was all screwed up because he worked such long hours so he developed problems sleeping. and when you cant sleep you continue to take medicine to aid you. i dont think he was intentionally try to kill himself or he had a very bad drug problem. doctors need to be more cautious prescribing medicine to patients

Now it's time to rest in peace. No matter what the circumstances of his death he has a daughter who only needs to be told and hear good things about her Dad, and there was no doubting he loved her to bits. Heath was from all reports a complex but down to earth person and a great actor, he will be missed. He will watch over Matilda without a doubt.

I bet if those doctors got rid of all those damn pharmaceuticals and just prescribed him marijuana, he would still be with us today. And I bet he would have more success sleeping...

coming from someone with insomnia, a severe lack of sleep can cause you to do desperate things to get the rest your body needs. I don't believe he meant to die. Doctors need to caution people on the use of these drugs. His daughter should know he loved her and he didn't mean to leave to leave her so soon.
