Haylie Duff

The Duff sisters have each other’s backs, especially now that Hilary Duff is a new mom. Haylie took some time with us to dish about being an aunt and how her sister is adapting to the newest member of the family.

“She’s just glowing and doing the best job,” Haylie told Hollyscoop at the Hard Rock Hotel Music Mansion.

The nine-month countdown came to an end on March 20 this year with the birth of a beautiful son
According to a recent study, one of the most pronounced symptoms of Baby Fever is painting your pregnant stomach and then tweeting a photo of it for all the world to see, a la Mariah Carey.

And Hilary Duff has baby fever.

The actress painted a picture of a boxed gift along with the phrase Happy Holidays on her stomach, then posed with a Santa hat in front of a tree and posted it to her Twitter page.

Haylie Duff can kiss her days of hosting shows like Legally Blonde:The Search For Elle Woods goodbye! And it’s all thanks to her sister Hilary, who got her a role on her new NBC sitcom Barely Legal.

Hilary Duff recently signed on as the lead of the show. She’ll be playing the hot shot young lawyer at a big firm.

Sources say Hil insisted in her contract that her older sister be given a part. So now Haylie will play the sister who comes into town every once in a while, according to Ok! magazine.

Isn’t that what famous sisters are for? Help out the older, less fortunate, no as well-known sister? It’s only fair!

We admit, Hilary is definitely the cuter, and more talented of the two. But Haylie as Summer in Napoleon Dynamite was, well, dynamite! She pulled that part off really well. So props to Hil for hooking her sister up big time!

Yay for the lesser-known Duff sister! As we previously reported, Haylie Duff has landed herself a hosting gig on MTV, in which she'll be searching for the next star of Legally Blonde: The Musical.  Hopefuls will compete for the role of Elle Woods, replacing Laura Bell Bundy.

As they progress, the ladies will have to learn the musical's dance routines and songs all while giving their all in around-the-clock rehearsals and workshops. As they navigate the obstacles involved with getting their theater dreams off the ground, they will learn to deal with being both competitors and roommates as they live together in a New York City loft.  Sounds like every other reality show, but with singing and dancing! Way to be original, MTV! Ok, we're still going to watch. Who are we kidding.
