Hayden Panettiere lives a pretty charmed life. She’s young, blonde, gorgeous, and rich. But don’t think she’s always had it this good.
Hayden is on the cover of this month’s
Details magazine, and talks about her rough road to the top.
Believe it or not, Hayden was bullied in school. Even though Hayden was already doing TV and movies at a young age, her classmates didn’t look up to her. She actually refers to it as “torture.”
She tells the mag: “I was tortured, emotionally tortured by these girls. “Every time I came back from filming, it would be me trying to find my way back into the clique. And they weren’t having it.”
She added, “I remember hearing in first grade, ‘Oh, why does she get to skip school?’ It wasn’t like I suddenly started feeling different. I always knew that I was. I never felt I missed out—in fact, it was like, ‘Oh, thank God I’m not that.’”
That sounds like the exact opposite of the upcoming movie Hayden’s in,
I Love You Beth Cooper. In the film, the nerd of the school falls in love with the most popular girl, played by Hayden.
