5 Things You Didn’t Know About: Your Heroes
The MTV Movie Awards nominees for their first ever social voting category “Best Hero” might as well be a list of “The Five Biggest Friggin’ Badasses Ever.”

From the fantasy flicks of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, to the comic book thrill rides of Captain America and Thor, the list represents just about every nook and crany of the action movie spectrum.

Daniel Radcliffe makes his final appearance in the eight–part wizard-themed series with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Jennifer Lawrence represents the X chromosomes being the only female on the list for her work as Katniss Everdeen in the massively popular Hunger Games. And ladies… if you need some eye candy, how about a little Chris Hemsworth as Thor in Thor.

Here’s a complete list (in no particular order) of who got the nod:

1) Captai American in Captain America: The First Avenger (Chris Evans)

2) Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (Daniel Radcliffe)

3) Jenko in 21 Jump Street (Channing Tatum)

4) Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games (Jennifer Lawrence)

5) Thor in Thor (Chris Hemsworth)

With awards night less than a week away the countdown is on! Get your votes in and, in the meantime, brush up on your trivia!

Here are five things you didn’t know about the actors behind your heroes:

1) Chris Evans isn’t just really good at looking really good on camera. The action star also apparently has quite a brain in his beautiful looking noggin, having scored a respectable 1180 on his SATs. Well done, sir!

2) Harry Potter is actually quite hairy. Manscaping is not something that Daniel Radcliffe bothers with. When film director John Krokidas told the actor not to do much trimming for the upcoming Kill Your Darlings film set in 1940, Radcliffe replied, "I'm pretty much there anyway, mate! Not a huge amount of maintenance going on."

3) Channing Tatum has dabbled in a long list of careers before settling in on acting. Among the long list of professions he has experienced include being a construction worker, a mortgage broker, a cologne salesman, a puppy/kitten nursery worker, and a model for Abercrombie & Fitch.

4) Jennifer Lawrence auditioned to play the part of Bella Swan (later Bella Cullen) in the Twilight franchise. The role of course went to the constantly blazed-looking Kristen Stewart, which turns out to be a good thing for Lawrence ‘cause you don’t see any Twilight on this list, do ‘ya?

5) Calling all cougars! Chris Hemsworth likes himself some older lady action. Hemsworth, 28, tied the knot with Spanish actress Else Pataky, 34 in December 2010. The couple has a newborn daughter together.

The 2012 MTV Movie Awards airs on Sunday June 3 at 9/8c.
