Just because things are cray-cray with Lindsay Lohan and her new arrest doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about our other pal, Halle Berry.
Following an ongoing and increasingly volatile custody battle over their shared four-year-old daughter, Nahla, that climaxed with a bloodied and bruised French-Canadian modal and restraining orders all around, Gabriel Aubry, Olivier Martinez, and Berry have reportedly reached an agreement.
This, according to a statement that has been relayed by People mag.
In the official release from Blair Berk—Halles’ stone-faced and vigilant courtroom warrior—distributed on Thursday, it was announced that there would be no more fighting. And, frankly, no more details on the matter—
“The parties have reached an amicable agreement," the statement read. "There will be no further statements regarding this matter."
Normally we’d shrug this one off and move on with our detail-less lives, but the fact that the ferocious three-way has reached a peace treaty so quickly, just days after a vicious and headline-grabbing fisticuffs, is hard to overlook.
In other words: What gives, Halle? Gabriel’s attorney, Shawn Holley, has so far been mum as well.
So all that we can report is that, whatever went down with the residency and restraining order issues, things are totally cool now…
The day that white flags were waved was not so coincidentally the same date that Berry and Martinez’ emergency protective order against Aubry was set to expire.
As we previously reported, a physical altercation took place at Halle and her fiancé’s L.A. residence during a custodial exchange that left Aubry with a misdemeanor battery charge and a severely rearranged face.
An update in the "who threw the first man slap?" debacle: The LAPD is sticking by their initial investigation that Aubry was the instigator with Olivier acting in self defense. At least, for now.
